Day 1: SAN MINIATO

Arrival in Florence or Pisa Airport. Private transfer to Hotel  in San Miniato. Accommodation in your hotel and time at leisure to relax.

Day 2: SAN MINIATO

First leg: San Miniato - Day at leisure to visit this charming little town, San Miniato, famous for the truffles production and for the panoramic fortress!

Day 3: From SAN MINIATO to GAMBASSI TERME

First stage of this historical itinerary in the heart of Tuscany. Wonderful views for this demanding leg especially for the lack of refreshment points. From San Miniato, after an hour of walking on asphalt, we take a path of extraordinary beauty along the hilly ridges of the Val d'Elsa where we meet two Submansiones: the Pieve di Coiano, in poor condition, and the Pieve a Chianni.

Day 4: From GAMBASSI TERME to SAN GIMIGNANO

A short but very interesting leg for the beauty of the panoramas surrounding the Via Francigena. We can visit the Sanctuary of Pancole before going back to the charming village of Collemucioli and from here to the enchanting Pieve di Cellole. The rest of the day can be dedicated to visiting San Gimignano, one of the most popular destinations in Italy that, especially if reached on foot, takes on a different and unusual flavor.

Day 5: SAN GIMIGNANO

Day  at leisure for visiting the town and its surrounding. On foot you will reach a traditional wine estate for tasting some of the fine local wines with delicacies like cheese, ham, salame and more! You will enjoy the perfect taste of Tuscany in the typical atmosphere of a farm house.

Day 6: From SAN GIMIGNANO to MONTERIGGIONI

One of the most beautiful stages of the Via Francigena. After leaving San Gimignano we arrive near one of the stages of Sigerico’s Way, which has not yet been exactly located: Molino d'Aiano. We continue towards Badia a Coneo, Gracciano and then to Strove, with its beautiful Romanesque church. We pass through the wonderful complex of Abbadia a Isola before reaching Monteriggioni, with its amazing crown of towers.

Day 7: From MONTERIGGIONI to SIENA

Breakfast. Fifth  leg  MONTERIGGIONI - SIENA last stage of this wonderful route. Leaving Monteriggioni we walk the dirt roads of the Sienese mountainous area towards Cerbaia, an ancient medieval village. Through the bush we get to the castles of Chiocciola and Villa. A suggested detour will take you to the wonderful Hermitage of San Leonardo al Lago. You can visit it every day!

Day 8: SIENA

Day at leisure for visiting the wonderful town. We suggest you a walking tour with private guide in your language to better enjoy Siena.

Day 9: SIENA

Breakfast and departure.
