Day 1: PERUGIA

Day 2: PERUGIA and TRASIMENO LAKE

After breakfast guided tour in Perugia, the capital city of Umbria, founded by the Etruscans around the seventh century BC. The center is one of the largest in Italy and the main monuments of the city date back to the middle age and renaissance age.
Today you will visit Perugia historical center with your guide to appreciate the fantastic heritage of this 3000 year old city. The cathedral, the main square with a very precious fountain, the underground fortress of the Pope, the monastery of Saint Peter, the etruscan gate and the fabulous intricate network of narrow medieval streets that wind through the center.
In the afternoon escorted tour to Trasimeno Lake for a walk on Maggiore Island and its small village where only 17 people are living; this peaceful and magic hidden corner of the lake has been a retreat even for Saint Francis for praying away from the crowd and it is possible to visit his shelter.
Ferry to Passignano from where you can admire an unforgettable sunsets and dinner in restaurant.
Transfer to hotel and overnight.

Day 3: ASSISI and MONTEFALCO

After breakfast departure to Assisi. Situated on the slopes of Mount Subasio (1,290 msl), Assisi is undoubtedly the Umbrian city best known in the world: that’s because it is the birthplace of St. Francis and every stone, every corner talks about the saint and his revolution.
Assisi has ruins of Roman times and, virtually intact, the urban layout of the medieval city. Among the main monuments is the Basilica of San Francesco, one of the most important religious and artistic attractions of Italy, with its frescoes by Giotto, Cimabue and other important Italian artists. 
In the afternoon visit to the world famous Sagrantino Wine Road, one of the most popular of italian wine roads! It connects Montefalco, Bevagna and other tiny castles of central Umbria. You will also visit the St Francis Museum Church, where you can find the frescos of Benozzo Gozzoli. On the way to Montefalco stop in a traditional wine cellar for tasting the best Sagrantino wine, both dry and sweet.

Day 4: SPOLETO and MARMORE'S FALL

After breakfast departure to guided tour in Spoleto. This beautiful town was an important Roman colony and later then the seat of a Lombard duchy. The most famous monuments of the city date back to the communal and the Renaissance ages, although there are testimonies of the roman times. The cathedral is the main tourist attraction and it is situated in a magnificent scenic location at the bottom of a long staircase that suddenly opens in the narrow alleys of the old.
Climbing up to the hilltop of the city, you get to the Ponte delle Torri, a masterpiece, 220 meters long and more than 80 mt high; here there is also the Rocca Albornoz, a magnificent example of military fortress of the XIV century. the Marmore’s Falls (entrance extra).
In the afternoon guided tour of The Marmore’s Falls, built during the Roman age and that can be considered the highest man-made waterfalls in Europe.
We will enjoy our time in this natural park whilst walking through various pathways that will take you also to the Lovers balcony from where you will have a fantastic glimpse on the waterfall park - a rain coat is suggested since there are good chances you may get wet!

Day 5: PERUGIA

Spare time to enjoy the atmosphere of the place and for your shopping.
Breakfast and private transfer to the airport San Francesco di Assisi.
