Day 1: ROME

Arrival in Rome  and private transfer to your first accommodation in the heart of Rome. Time for a first walk in the city: Piazza di Spagna and the staircase of Trinità dei Monti, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Venezia, Via Veneto, Via del Corso, Castel sant'Angelo and the Lungotevere. Your guide will take you to discover the most famous and iconic places of the "eternal city" to let you go back to the unforgettable movies and memories of Dolce Vita life in Italy. 

Day 2: ROME

Visit to the Quirinale, Home of the President of Italy and former residency of the italian royal family. It is considered one of the most beautiful royal palaces in the world for the richness of its interiors and the quality of art masterpieces  preserved in the palace (reservation required through our office). In the afternoon visit to Piazza San Pietro and Vatican City for visiting the fantastic Dome. Guided tour of Sistine chapel and Vatican Museum with your guide with supplement (reservation is mandatory).

Day 3: ORVIETO and PERUGIA

Departure  from Rome to Orvieto to visit the wonderful ancient tombs of the etruscan age in Orvieto: a dip into the old etruscan  history of Italy. Later visit to the amazing cathedral and to the historical center of this elegant and fashion town. Time at leisure for a wine tasting in the wine bars of the town or for sitting on the the street cafès observing life going by slowly. That's pure italian lifestyle.  Transfer to Perugia.

Day 4: DERUTA 

New experiences  to discover Italy. Visit to  one of the most important ceramic districts of Italy, a small nice village named Deruta with a rich and very old history. Workshop in a private lab with a painter and ceramist. In the afternoon back to Perugia for a new exciting and peculiar discovery
We will visit an ancient laboratory where the glasses that decorate the cathedrals in many cities of the world are prepared and hand painted. An all-female tradition for this ancient art which is always appreciated as much as it is rare and precious. Dinner at leisure in the center of the old town of Perugia, that always  offers new thrilling culinary experiences.

Day 5: ASSISI

Today you will visit Perugia historic center with your guide to appreciate the fantastic heritage of this 3000 year old city. The cathedral, the main square with a very precious fountain, the underground fortress of the Pope, the monastery of Saint Peter, the etruscan gate and the fabulous intricate network of narrow medieval streets that wind through the center.  In the afternoon half day city tour of Assisi including Giotto frescos  in the upper basilica dedicated to Saint Frances and the Porziuncola. Protected as an heritage site by Unesco, Assisi is a place of the heart. The pink stone of its buildings, the medieval alleys, the artistic treasures and the mystic atmosphere are unforgettable.

Day 6: GUBBIO and FRASASSI

A new day for new discoveries. First stop will be in Gubbio for visiting the historical center of the beautiful medieval town.  Gubbio is world famous also for the traditional Ceri race that take place on may 15th every year. After  the visit of the town, departure to Frasassi to visit the biggest and most important  Caves of  Europe. Guided tour with your local guide.

Day 7: SIENA

New experience in Tuscany today for discovering the beauty of Siena. Siena is one of the most popular and visited places in Tuscany, a town that is extremely rich in history and art and with strong local traditions tied to its 17 districts (called “contrade”) and to the famous race of  Palio, the biggest annual event. Your guide will take you to discover Piazza del Campo that is really unique with its shell shape, the Cathedral and maybe you would like to climb the Torre del magia with its 400 steps!

Day 8: VAL D'ORCIA

Departure to explore Unesco protected site of Val d’Orcia and Montalcino following the world famous Via Francigena with an Hiking guide. it is an easy but extremely interesting hike that will show you the beauty of this place from a different and more natural point of view.  During the hike we will stop for visiting a Wine Estate in Montalcino for relaxing and for a rich wine tasting of the best local wine Brunello Of Montalcino.

Day 9: VOLTERRA and SAN GIMIGNANO

A new fantastic day to discover another face of Tuscany. First stop for the day will be Volterra,  one of the most important etruscan towns of central Italy. Second stop will be unforgettable San Gimignano, the medieval town of hundred towers. At the height of its glory, San Gimignano's patrician families had built around 72 tower-houses as symbols of their wealth and power. Although only 14 have survived, San Gimignano still retains its feudal atmosphere and appearance.
Time for a good glas of the typical local white wine of San Gimignano, the Vernaccia, in one of the warm and cozy wine bars of the old town.

Day 10: FLORENCE

The Grand Tour of central Italy could not disregards a 2 days experience in Florence, the city of Medici family and  the cradle of the Renaissance. The first day will be dedicated to the visit of the impressive Cathedral with the imposing Dome and the Medici Tombs, to the Ponte Vecchio and to Piazza della Signoria.  

Day 11: FLORENCE

Second day of exploration of Florence to discover  more secluded corners of the town and precious places. One day is not sufficient to discover the immense artistic and cultural value of Florence. Beside the world famous Galleria degli Uffizi (on request with reservation) we will visit the most beautiful garden in Florence, Giardino de Boboli,  the Italian garden model that became exemplary for many European courts. For the lunch we suggest the traditional market in San Lorenzo for tasting local delicacies and fine wines in the recently renovated old central market. Fiorentina steak, lampredotto, Chianti wine, white beans, ribollita and much more.

Day 12: FLORENCE
