Day 1: TRASIMENO LAKE AREA 

Arrival in the Trasimeno area and accommodation in your hotel/agriturismo. Welcome drink with the best delicacies and fine products of the lake area.
Following, a typical dinner is waiting for you with a delicious menu based on lake fish dishes accompanied by fine wines and the typical Torta al testo, fragrant bread that is cooked in the ash.
The dinner will be an itinerary through time and places of the Trasimeno thanks to traditional dishes and ancient recipes.

Day 2: Excursion to MAGGIORE ISLAND 

A new amazing excursion for you today, the visit to the Maggiore island by ferry from/to Passignano or Tuoro.
There are 3 islands on the lake; the smallest is a private property, the biggest a natural park and only the Maggiore has a small village. Inhabitants are only 17 nowadays but in the middle age there where more than 800 people living here as it was a lively and rich place for the production of fish that was exported also to the Pope in Rome.
We suggest you the visit to the little church dedicated to San Michele Arcangelo that talks a lot about the rich and mystic history of this island. This peaceful and magic corner of the lake has been a retreat even for Saint Francis for praying away from the crowd and the people and it is possible to visit his shelter. Another tradition is still alive in the island, the irish lace.
At the end of the XIX the noble family that was living on the castle of the island welcomed irish women to teach to local ones a different and unique way to produce lace.
Today only 3 old ladies are still able to work this lace and you can meet than along the main way of the village. Visit to the museum dedicated to this traditional lace.
Time for the lunch in one of the restauyrants of the island serving fresh lake food (lunch not included).
In the afternoon visit to two of the most interesting and innovative cellars of the DOC del Trasimeno for the discovery of the most representative indigenous vines and the enological products of the area. Rich tastings and lots of fun to get to know the warmth of the people of Trasimeno.
Dinner with Chianina meat specialties in a typical restaurant (3-course menu, drinks not included).

Day 3: Excursion to CITTA' DELLA PIEVE and PANICALE  and return

The morning is dedicated to the discovery of a village of exceptional beauty, Città della Pieve, famous for the intriguing maze of alleys including the famous Vicolo Baciadonne but also for having given birth to the painter Pietro Vannucci, known as Perugino, one of the most representative protagonists of the Italian Renaissance.
Fun walk to get lost in the alleys in the different marked itineraries and at the end time to taste many specialties based on Saffron, one of the typical products of the area.
In the afternoon free time for visiting PANICALE, one of the most charming of the old hamlets overlooking the lake. The tiny square of the little town is a precious gem; here you will have a nice glass of wine enjoying the international athmosphere of the place. Panicale has a fantastic view on the valley and the lake.
Not far from Panicale we suggest you to visit Paciano, another amazing little hamlet with the typical tile roof. This is the best place for a magic dinner in one of the agriturismo.
The distance between Panicale and Paciano is only 5 km and it can be a nice walk.

Day 4: Excursion to CASTIGLIONE DEL LAGO and departure

Rich breakfast before visiting the most the scenic of villages on the lake, Castiglione del Lago. Nestled on a rock on the lake, during prehistory it was an island.
On the historical center it is possible to visit the ruins of the old castle and fortress and the Palace of Duca della Corgna, the reigning family during the renaissance, with many beautiful frescos.
Spare time for the lunch in one of the typical restaurants along the lake promenade or in the center. Departure.
