Day 1: FOLIGNO

Arrival in Umbria and welcome drink to explore the best taste of this land in your hotel. Welcome to green Umbria.

Day 2: from FOLIGNO to ASSISI and return

After a rich and nourishing breakfast you will start your first cycling day to Assisi. Bicycle delivery in your Hotel. Meeting with your guide for the waking city tour. Located on the slopes of Subasio Mount, Assisi is for sure one of the most interesting towns in central Italy thanks to the birth of Saint Francis who really changed the destiny of Italy and of the christian world itself. The town preserves roman and medieval monuments and the most interesting attractions are the frescos of Giotto and his school and precious  architecture of the Basilica of Saint Francis. Time for the visit of Assisi. In the afternoon a nice snack with local delicacies in a wine shop. Back to the hotel by bike!

Day 3: from FOLIGNO to SPELLO and BEVAGNA and return

Even today a new discovery, Spello, amazing medieval little town  whose houses are built with the typical pink stone of the area.  The highlight of the town is certainly the Baglioni chapel, with frescos of Pinturicchio that dates back to 1500. In the afternoon we will reach out to Bevagna by bicycle. A walk inside the medieval alleys of this precious little town is a run off the time!  What make of Bevagna un unforgettable place are the workshops where still nowadays candles, paper, leather and more are created according to tyhe old medieval recipes! Don’t hesitate to enter one of these labs, you are always welcome and local people will tell you about the long tradition of his job!

Day 4: from FOLIGNO to MONTEFALCO and return

Today it is Montefalco’s turn! Capital place of the Sagrantino Wine Road, Montefalco is a fantastic terrace overloong entire Umbria. Surronuded by vineyards, it is like a livingroom where you can taste the best red wines in the numerous wine bars. When you will have visited the main square and also the church with important frescos we will go for a wine tour including the visit to a wine estate, traditional but innovative as not only the grape is organic but also the wine production is "green". Here you will learn about the  story of the “Sagrantino” wine, both dry and sweet!

Day 5: from FOLIGNO to SPOLETO and return

After a rich breakfast departure by bicycle to Spoleto. Meeting with your guide for the waking city tour. Spoleto was a roman colony and later a Longobard Duchy. Surrounded by the Bridge of Towers (the medieval acqueduct) and the Albornoz Fortress, Spoleto has an amazing catherdal and is world famous as the place of an international festival dedicated to performing arts: ballet, opera, music, theatre, drama performed by the most important actors of the world! In spoleto there is always something interesting to do and to see and also meeting VIPs is usual!  Not less important, the Food! Spoleto is the capital town of black truffles and of many other delicacies. Enjoy a tasty lunch with local specialties. Bicycle return in your Hotel.

Day 6: FOLIGNO

Departure or extension of the tour with a 2-nights stay in Perugia.

Perugia is the capital town of Umbria, in international city with more than 3000 years and a very rich history! Founded by the etruscan, has played an important during the middle age and renaissance. There are many important monuments to be visited in the old town including the underground fortress, the main square with the fountain, the etruscan gate and well, Saint Peter’s abbey and much much more, including the Perugina chocolate factory! Accommodation in a centrally located hotel (3* or 4* upon request).
