Day 1: TRASIMENO LAKE AREA

Arrival in the chosen location and accommodation of the program “TrasimenEmotion” in the Lake Trasimeno area. Welcome drink with local specialties.
Early afternoon guided tour in Tuoro to discover the places of Hannibal's battle against the Roman army of 217 BC leaded by Caio Flaminio Nepote.
Typical welcome dinner with menu based on lake specialties for tasting the best local products.

Day 2: Excursion to CITTA' DELLA PIEVE and CASTIGLIONE DEL LAGO and return

The morning is dedicated to the discovery of a village of exceptional beauty, Città della Pieve, famous for the intriguing maze of alleys including the famous Vicolo Baciadonne and also for giving birth to the painter Pietro Vannucci, called Perugino, one of the most representative protagonists of the Italian Renaissance.
Fun walk to get lost in the alleys of the many marked itineraries and at the end time to taste many specialties based on Saffron, one of the typical products of the area.
In the afternoon free time for the shopping of typical products and not only in the shops of the historic center of Castiglione del Lago with the possibility of visiting the Palazzo del Duca della Corgna, which preserves splendid frescoed rooms from the 16th century.

Day 3: Excursion to SAN FELICIANO and return

The discovery of the area continues with a fun fishing excursion the fishermen of San Feliciano. Lots of local color and a truly enchanting landscape where sky and water meet! On the way back, tasting of local specialties and fried fish in foil (according to season).
In the afternoon visit to two of the most interesting and innovative cellars of the DOC del Trasimeno for the discovery of the most representative indigenous vines and the enological products of the area. Rich tastings and lots of fun to get to know the warmth of the people of Trasimeno.
Dinner with Chianina meat specialties in restaurant (3-course menu, drinks not included).

Day 4: Excursion to SAN FELICIANO AREA and departure

We will dedicate the morning to visit the Oasis La Valle, a lush protected area on the shores of the lake which has always been a staging area for migratory birds during their long journey between northern Europe and Africa.
We will then go on to visit an organic farm on the beautiful hills that embrace the lake. Walking tour accompanied by our expert guide of the territory to explore the typical crops, vineyards, olive groves and to get to know the local typical bean (fagiolina del Trasimeno), an ancient legume of this territory that has become a Slow Food presidium thanks to its absolutely unique characteristics.
Upon returning, lunch with a rich buffet during which we will be able to taste many local specialties, all at 0 km: oil, legumes, soups, cheeses, salami, honey, local wines and also the Fagiolina del Trasimeno!
To conclude this tour of flavors in the best way we will visit a mill that has recovered our best olive oil tradition by renewing the production process. Extra virgin olive oil is one of the most representative and best products of the whole Umbria region in terms of properties and taste. In the lake area, some typical cultivars create a product that is truly unrivaled in terms of acidity, organoleptic and chemical characteristics in general.
