Day 2: from LA VERNA to SANSEPOLCRO
The first stage of the journey into nature sung by St. Francis begins. Difficult gradients in the first 6 km, but the rest of the route is all downhill. First approach of the pilgrim to the beauty of nature sung by Francesco.
The route today goes over roads with minor traffic and you’ll be pedaling surrounded by the natural beauty of the woods. Sansepolcro is the final destination of this itinerary. Its name refers to two pilgrims who returned from the Holy Land here and founded a monastic community.
The city is a true treasure chest of beauty and preserves the precious works of Piero della Francesca, and other painters of the Renaissance. Accommodation in Hotel.

Day 3: from SANSEPOLCRO to CITTA' DI CASTELLO
After breakfast departure for your leg from Sansepolcro to Città di Castello, passing through the town of Citerna.
After having left Citerna behind, the route is easy and for much of the way follows a cycling path along the Tiber River that leads to the centre of Città di Castello.
We suggest you to have a nice walk in the old city center also for visiting the Museum dedicated to one of the most important among Italian painters of XX century, Alberto Burri.

Day 4: from CITTA' DI CASTELLO to PIETRALUNGA
After breakfast a new thrilling leg and the hardest part of the journey.
Once outside Città di Castello the roads turns towards Pieve de’ Saddi, featuring some 7 km of ascent, the gradient of which sometimes exceeds 10%.

Day 5: from PIETRALUNGA to GUBBIO
After breakfast departure for a fantastic itinerary to Gubbio. The route is a relatively easy one and the only difficulties you’ll encounter are at the beginning, and easy to overcome.
On arrival in Gubbio you will have the chance of visiting the wonderful city center. Gubbio is an Etruscan and medieval town preserving many monuments!

Day 6: from GUBBIO to ASSISI
After breakfast, the st. Francis way will see you make your way to the town of Assisi through fantastic trails. Important leg, one of the journey’s most arduous ones.
Arrival in Assisi where you will not loose the chance of visiting the fantastic Giotto frescos of the Upper Basilica of Saint Francis. Overnight in Assisi.

Day 7: from ASSISI to TREVI
After breakfast departure for the Assisi to Trevi leg, passing through the town of Foligno, time to discover the wonderful Palazzo Trinci and the historic center.
After leaving Foligno behind, the route climbs to the panoramic village of Trevi, surrounded by olive trees. Accommodation in Hotel, overnight

Day 8: from TREVI to SPOLETO
After breakfast, an easy ride over flat land and downhill stretches, from Trevi to Spoleto, the beautiful capital town of the Longobards.
Arrival and guided tour of the city to discover the roman Aqueduct (Bridge of towers), the cathedral and fortress of Albornoz that dominates the town. Accommodation in Hotel and overnight.
