Day 2: From Sansepolcro to Citerna

Day 1: SANSEPOLCRO
Arrival in Sansepolcro, accommodation in Hotel and dinner.
Day 2: From SANSEPOLCRO to CITERNA
After breakfast departure for your first hike from Sansepolcro to Citerna.
DETAILS: km 12, +225 m / -145 m.
Day 3: From CITERNA to CITTA' DI CASTELLO
After breakfast departure for your walking journey from Citerna to Città di Castello, a beautiful town on the River Tiber. We suggest you to have a nice walk in the old city center also for visiting the Museum dedicated to one of the most important among Italian painters of XX century, Alberto Burri. Accommodation in your centrally located hotel.

Day 4: From CITTA' DI CASTELLO to COLLEVECCHIO
After breakfast a new thrilling hike to Collevecchio. Overnight in Collevecchio in a pilgrim shelter. (it is possible to have a lift to Pietralunga to avoid the Pilgrim Shelter and to be accommodated in a more comfortable Hotel).
DETAILS: Km 11, +300 m / -115 m.
Day 5: From COLLEVECCHIO to PIETRALUNGA
Hiking to Pietralunga is a fantastic experience through unspoiled nature and sleepy old villages.
DETAILS: km 18,5, +460 m / -520 m.
Day 6: From PIETRALUNGA to GUBBIO
After breakfast departure for a fantastic hike to Gubbio. You walk without difficulty through woods and open meadows, which offer sweeping views of the surrounding hills. After a last short climb up to Madonna di Montecchi you continue on the paved road and, suddenly, the splendid plain opens around on Gubbio. On arrival you will have the chance of visiting the wonderful city center. Gubbio is an Etruscan and medieval town preserving many monuments!

Day 7: From GUBBIO to BISCINA
After breakfast new hiking discovery. Challenging trekking as far as Biscina, that is an ancient palace in a wonderful panoramic position: it dominates the entire valley in every direction.
DETAILS: km 22, +570 m / -610 m.
Day 8: From BISCINA to ASSISI
New hike to Assisi through fantastic trails (it is possible to split this long and hard leg into 2). Arrival in Assisi where you will not loose the chance of visiting the fantastic Giotto frescos of the Upper Basilica of Saint Francis. Overnight in Assisi. (it is possible to add an extra night in Valfabbrica to split the long strech between Biscina and Assisi).

Day 9: ASSISI
Breakfast and departure. It is possible to extend the stay with extra nights.
